Common Ground is a seasoned, energetic, Traditional Acoustic Music band from East-central Indiana. They blend smooth vocal harmonies, the natural acoustic sounds of handmade instruments, playful banter and thoughtful insight into a lively, up-beat performance. Playing and singing music is a passion for these men, and they experience great solace and excitement as they resurrect songs of old and develop new songs and sounds.

Common Ground works very hard to be true to the music of the past—playing Gospel, Bluegrass, Country, and Folk songs in the ways that have delighted generations. Many of the songs are old favorites which transport listeners back in time and rekindle fond memories.

Common Ground also performs songs that are less familiar, more contemporary, or Original Songs. They also love to perform familiar songs in a new style— they transform old
-time Rock and Roll, Pop, Country Western or Church Hymns to acoustic styles—all the while retaining the original charm and message.

Common Ground is honored to be an Outreach Ministry of Mount Olive Community Church in Muncie, Indiana. They accept the responsibility of sharing their faith and commitment to their Savior, Jesus, in word and deed. They seek to live according to His Word and trust in Him for their Salvation.

Common Ground plays at Churches, Campmeetings, Gospel Sings, Conventions, Festivals, Socials, Fairs, Restaurants, Concert Halls, Reunions, Camp Grounds, Schools, Parks and back yards throughout the Midwest.

These men share a unique kinship grounded in faith, fun and friendship. They have a common desire to enjoy life by truly connecting to the people who cross their paths—in vocation, community, family, faith and music—they embrace joy and peace in this chaotic world. They love to mix with the audiences and treasure the many friends they have made in their travels.

Common Ground has released several recordings of their songs and all recordings are available by request from the website or can be purchased at performances. See the Products page for more information.
